RACE RECAP: 2022 Race No. 150 – November 3, 2022 World of Outlaws World Finals – World of Outlaws Sprint Cars and Late Models – The Dirt Track at Cha

CONCORD, N.C. – Logan Schuchart won the 30-lap World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car feature and Mike Marlar won the 40-lap World of Outlaws Case Construction Equipment Late Model main to kick off the 2022 edition of the World Finals.

In the sprint car feature Carson Macedo looked to be headed to victory when a fuel nozzle line issue on a late restart giving the lead, and win to Schuchart. The “gift” was gladly accepted by Schuchart who last year had two races at the Charlotte Dirt Track get away from him leading both in the final 10 laps.

It was the 35th career World of Outlaws win for Schuchart. Macedo held on for second with Brad Sweet finishing third.

Marlar started ninth and needed all 40 laps of the Late Model feature to get the win. Shane Clanton led the entire distance up until turn three of the final lap when Marlar was able to get inside and get past. It was his 13th career World of Outlaws late model victory. Clanton finished second with Trent Ivey third.
