RACE RECAP: 2022 Race No. 142 – October 22, 2022 Contender Boats 300 / Baptist Health 200 – NASCAR Xfinity & Trucks – Homestead Miami Speedway

HOMESTEAD, Fla. – Noah Gragson won his eighth NASCAR Xfinity Series race of 2022 Saturday in the Contender Boats 300 and Ty Majeski won the Baptist Health 200 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series at Homestead Miami Speedway.

Gragson dominated the Xfinity Series race, winning both stages and leading 127 of the 200 laps. Yet, it came down to a strong late race restart that sent him to the win, and into the Championship 4 at Phoenix Raceway in two weeks. Ty Gibbs was second with A.J. Allmendinger third.

Majeski started 18th and patiently made his way forward. He took the lead for the first time on lap 66 of the 134-lap race and led all but two laps around a pitstop to the victory. It was his second career win, and second in three races, solidifying himself as a favorite in the Championship 4 at Phoenix. Zane Smith and Stewart Friesen finished second and third respectively.
