RACE RECAP: 2022 Race No. 93: July 22, 2022 General Tire 200 – ARCA Menards Series – Pocono Raceway
LONG POND, Pa. – Taylor Gray continued his winning ways in the ARCA Menards Series on Friday winning the General Tire 200 at Pocono Raceway. It was his third win of the season and second consecutive.
Gray started on the outside front row and took command of the race, leading the first 25 laps before Nick Sanchez was able to race past. The race was slowed on lap 30 for a competition caution and Gray suffered a slow pitstop loosing a lap to the lead cars.
A lap 46 caution allowed Gray back on the lead lap and pit strategy put him at the front of the filed on lap 52. The race was scheduled for 80 laps but was stopped on lap 64 due to darkness.
Gray was the winner with Sanchez and Brandon Jones completing the top three.
