2022 Race No. 87 – July 9, 2022 NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Racing – Bowman Gray Stadium
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Burt Myers picked up the victory Saturday night in the 100-lap Modified feature at Bowman Gray Stadium. It was his 86th career victory at the track, and second in a row this season.
Jeremy Gerstner started on the pole and led the first third of the race. A restart on lap 33 allowed Brandon Ward to start alongside Gerstner, Ward got the better run into turn one and took command. As point leader Ward set the pace, Myers was patiently advancing from his 11th-starting spot.
A lap 67 restart put Myers alongside Ward, with Myers getting the upper-hand, and the lead. He would survive a few late restarts with rival Tim Brown in second and roll to the win. Brown finished second with Ward settling for third.
Other winners were Chase Robertson and Zack Ore in the Sportsman 20-lap features, Nate Gregg in the Street Stock feature and Brandon Brendle in the Stadium Stock race.
