2022 Race 84: July 2, 2022 NASCAR Xfinity Series – Henry 180 – Road America

ELKHART LAKE, Wisc. – Ty Gibbs continued to impress with a win in Saturday’s Henry 180 NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Road America. It was his eighth career series victory and fourth of the season.

Kyle Larson won the pole position on Friday and had the dominant car throughout most of the event. He won the first two stages of the race and was cruising toward what looked like a victory when a caution on lap 43, of the 45, sent the race into overtime and changed the complexion of the race.

Larson jumped into the lead with Gibbs chasing over the final two laps. On the final circuit Gibbs was able to get inside Larson in turn three and was able to take the top spot. He paced the balance of the lap to the victory. Larson finished second with Josh Berry third.
