2022 Race No. 80 – June 24, 2022 World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Cars – High Bank Nationals – Huset’s Speedway

BRANDON, S.D. – Carson Macedo won $20,000 on Friday’s World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Cars 35-lap feature at Huset’s Speedway. It was his sixth win of the season and 23rd overall series victory.

Local standout Riley Goodno commanded the first nine laps before Brian Brown surged into the lead. Brown set a blistering pace during the middle portion of the race while Goodno, Macedo and David Gravel all battled for the second spot.

Ultimately Macedo, who started fifth, got the best of that battle and started tracking down Brown. On lap 33 he dove inside the leader into turn one, took the top spot and lead to the finish.

Brown celebrated a good recovery from a dismal Thursday night with a second-place finish, with Goodno, in only his seventh series start, getting his career-best finish with the tour of third.

The victory was especially emotional for the team, as it was four years to the day of the passing of team founder Jason Johnson.
