2022 Race No. 64: May 27, 2022 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series – N.C Education Lottery 200 – Charlotte Motor Speedway

CONCORD, N.C. -- Ross Chastain survived a wild second overtime run to win the North Carolina Education Lottery 200 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race Friday at Charlotte Motor Speedway. It was his first series win of the season and fourth of his career.

While Chastain was the winner his Niece Motorsports teammate Carson Hocevar was the story. As the final stage of the race progressed Hocevar was the dominant truck and had a commanding lead when a late race caution changed everything and sent the race into overtime.

Hocevar lined up inside Ryan Preece for the first attempt to finish the race. The trucks bounced off each other ultimately spinning Hocevar and damaging both trucks. With those trucks out of contention, the second overtime had Ross Chastain with a push from Grant Enfinger surge ahead on the final lap for the win.

Enfinger was second with John Hunter Nemechek third.

In the companion General Tire 150 ARCA Menards Series race, Brandon Jones dominated the second half for his sixth career series win, second at Charlotte.
