2022 Race No. 32: Thursday, April 7, 2022 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series – Martinsville Speedway

William Bryon, driving the No. 7 Spire Motorsports Chevy, won his eight career NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race in the Blu-Emu Maximum Pain Relief 200 at Martinsville Speedway. It was only his second series start since 2016 when he was a regular on the tour.

Zane Smith and Ben Rhodes lead the first half of the race, and as that was happening a lap 81 caution gave Byron the winning strategy. Byron pitted on lap 83, inherited the lead after the lap 100 stage break and was flawless in the second half. It was the first win for Spires Motorsports in the series and Byron’s first victory at Martinsville.

Johnny Sauter made his second start of the season worthwhile, driving from 36th to a second-place finish. Kyle Busch ran toward the front of the field all evening and finished third.
