2022 Race No. 7 – Indoor Auto Racing – Boardwalk Hall, Atlantic City, NJ
The 40 Lap “Gambler’s Classic” at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, NJ is the most coveted prize in TQ Midget Indoor Auto Racing. The storyline going into Saturday’s race a blizzard that dumped between 15 and 20 inches of snow on the region. Not deterred, the show went on and those who attended saw a wild one. The race seemed to be between Erik Rudolph (3-time winner) and Andy Jankowiak (2-time and defending winner), who were having a spirited battle for the lead that turned bad on lap 25 with both cars spinning. The 2018 winner Ryan Flores was third at the time and wheeled past and ultimately onto the victory. He was followed by Tim Buckwalter, who scored his third-straight runner-up finish and Briggs Danner who finished third.
